Nutrition

By now, you have seen more than you can swallow on diet and nutrition products,
promoted through slick, seductive merchandising. It seems like everyone's become an
expert on what's good for you. "Muscle-building" supplements. "Mega" vitamins.
"Nutrition" bars. "Miracle" juice-fasting diets. Celebrity-endorsed products. "Fat-busting"
pills. High-protein, low-carb, low-fat, or "cleansing" diets. Prepackaged meal "plans."
Weight-loss "clubs." The food pyramid. The new food pyramid.

Dr. Rosenthal says, "People tend to make nutrition complicated and it's not. You
shouldn't have to take all kinds of nutritional supplements indefinitely."

He has clinical training in up-to-date, all-natural nutrition protocols. He also trained as
a chef from 1991 to 1995 under executive chef Terry Wieclawski in Pasadena, CA.

To promote healing and fitness through optimal nutrition, do three things:

Step 1. Recognize what doesn't help you and detoxify your system to get rid of it.
Step 2. Recognize what does help and reorganize your eating around it.
Step 3. Maintain steps 1 and 2.

Keeping up with nutrition research also is important, but it's complex and time-
consuming. What you eat makes a profound difference in how you feel and look, now
and long-term. Popular diets may work in the short-term, but can't be followed forever.
As soon as you go off them, you're back where you started—if you're lucky.

Dr. Rosenthal helps you benefit from current nutrition-related research and reach your
health and fitness goals by conducting an individual nutritional analysis. First, you
discuss your concerns with him. Then you answer a questionnaire and keep a food
diary. Should you choose; blood, urine, saliva and bio-electrical impedance tests will
be done.  He analyzes the above information and issues an individual evaluation
based on your metabolic needs.

He considers functioning of the gastrointestinal system, endocrine system, glucose
regulation, cardiovascular system, immune system, musculo-skeletal system, central
nervous system, and more. He may recommend a fitness program to complement
your diet to reach your goals. He may recommend supplements, which may change as
you enter Step 3 above, the maintenance phase.
